Updates

January, February-too much time going by without blogging in our journal. I got a new camera for our anniversary so I am trying to figure it out and take some fun pictures. We did do a few fun things in January like...

celebrate our 14th anniversary at Skamania Lodge...site of our very short honeymoon. It was fun to get away for a few days and relax.

Our little man turned 2 and had a fun family birthday party

And we had one very sad snow day...sad because the snow was so small & melted before the day was over...boo hoo

but ben enjoyed sledding & the kids had fun playing in it even if it was for a short time.

What is The Chicken House? When my oldest became a big brother, he realized that his spot in moms arms while she rested on the couch had now been taken over by his baby sister. He decided that he would make a new nest in the crook of my legs which he fondly dubbed his "chicken house". Six children later this little spot made by the crook of my legs is coveted whenever I sit down or lay on the couch. In fact, I can't ever sit anywhere without one of the kids sitting on me. They love to snuggle and get their toes warmed and we have come to think of the Chicken House as any place where you feel safe, warm and happy.
